We are proud to have been granted ‘Approved Training Centre’ status for LGV and PCV Driver C.P.C. Continuation Training.
We also run courses to suit owner drivers, agency drivers and casual drivers.
Our courses are run throughout the week at weekends and evenings so causing as little disruption to your working timetable as possible. restrictions apply to evening courses.
Should a group of individual drivers or a company wish, we are happy to travel to your location if this would be
beneficial.
New legislation now specifies that professional drivers are required to carry out 35 hours training over every five year period that they intend to drive professionally. The clock started ticking for PCV drivers on September 9th 2008 and for LGV drivers on September 10th 2009.
This means that by September 10th 2013, a PCV driver wishing to use the ‘D’ classification on their licence for employment will need to have completed 35 hours of Driver CPC training . LGV drivers wishing to use the ‘C’ classification on their licence will need to have completed their 35 hours by September 10th 2014.
This training needs to be work related and can be any approved course that enhances the working practices of both employee and employer.
